Short description of the event:

6th grade students will learn how to use digital tools to create a content for learning by  working online in teams. Students will create multimedia content with topic on COVID-19 – protection and prevention – video, posters and presentation with interactive knowledge quiz.

All of activities were conducted online using Teams application tool for communication and collaboration between students.

Learning objectives:

  • recognize different programs for processing and presenting multimedia content and analyze the terms of use for each program
  • find the appropriate digital tools and rearrange the digital content for the needs of the learning task
  • independently check the capabilities of a program, select an online or offline program for processing and creating multimedia content
  • store authentic digital content on an e-portfolio, find and use additional program tools
  • independently prepare the content, find the online content and create authentic digital content for the needs of the learning task, respect the privacy and copyright settings when creating authentic digital content
  • present digital content located on an offline / online resource, such as an e-portfolio
  • describe and implement the application process for an online data storage service and use the selected program to assist in the performance of learning tasks
  • store digital content on the online service and download digital content from the selected online service
  • analyze the advantages and disadvantages (or limitations) of using the selected storage service and rearranges your online space
  • plan collaborative work and actively participate in the joint creation of online content
  • edit, comment and evaluate changes to online content respecting copyright and privacy rights and equally participate in making joint decisions that improve work in the digital environment
  • find, recommend, and incorporate new content or opportunities in online learning communities that can enhance collaboration in the digital environment.


  1. Creating teams, log in on team space using Teams application.
  2. Finding information about COVID-19  from trusted sources, making notes in a tekst document and uploading it in team space files.
  3. Drawing coronavirus – each team member must select different drawing tool and upload image in team space files.
  4. Precautions and protection from coronavirus – each team member creates different digital content (presentation, comic, video or poster) in suggested tools, and upload their work in team files.
  5. Collaborative work – COVID-9 presentation: each team member participates in creation of collaborative presentation using his created materials in previous tasks. Team leaders are working and supervising the work.
  6. Refflection – filling out self-evaluation form an performing peer review.

This event was challenging because everything took place online. Some students did not initially cope in a virtual environment, but we managed to overcome all difficulties together.

Ana, 12: I knew that there is no conspiracy theory about COVID-19, and I’m glad that now I can proove it to my grandma with trusted information sources.

Lea, 13: This was fun, but wquite hard because not everyone cooperated as much as needed. I love to paint and drawing in online tool was just great.

Ivan, 12: I liked the creative assignments and freedom to select our own digital tool for creating content. It was great that we could work in teams, we had a few videoconferences, that was fun!
